Receptions at M Shed offer a relaxed way to bring people together in a harbourside setting with a strong sense of character. Set within a former transit shed, the venue pairs industrial architecture with open views across the water. The Harbour View and Waterside Suites provide flexible space for evening receptions, drinks events and networking. Support from our experienced events team ensures every occasion runs smoothly.

A vibrant setting for drinks and networking

M Shed’s reception spaces are designed for movement, conversation and atmosphere. Guests can enjoy arrival drinks while taking in views across Bristol Harbour, before moving through open-plan suites that encourage easy flow and social interaction. Natural light, waterfront access and practical layouts help shape events that feel open and informal while remaining professionally managed.

Access to the private terrace offers an outdoor element to the event, creating space for guests to step outside and enjoy the setting as the evening unfolds. Canapés are served throughout the reception, supported by a private bar and attentive staffing. Our dedicated events team will oversee the event as well as support the arrangements in advance, allowing hosts to focus on welcoming their guests.
